I’m a 45 year old faithful servant of the God of the Bible, devoted husband, father of four that loves the life I’ve been given. I find myself a part of various communities and realize how fortunate I am to have the family and friends that I have. I owe it all to Jesus and I will gladly lay it all down for Him.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I’ve been married to my wife (Heather) for 16 years. We have 4 children (Allyson 26, Tatum 22, Amber 14, Logan 12), and a grandson (Remington 9 months)
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Management and Information Systems. I worked for Walmart for 13 year in various capacities. I’m currently the Executive Director of a non-profit called New Heights 4 Kids. I support myself by running a tech consulting business called SwiftCLOUD Solutions and recently started investing in Commercial Real Estate.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Wrights BBQ, Angus Jack’s, Abuelo’s (or any mexican for that matter), Zaxby’s, etc.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
Coming up on 20 years
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I had the privilege of mentoring with Paul Carter before he passed away
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would love to go to all the places where Jesus walked, taught, lived, died, and lived again.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
The Chosen, Lord of the Rings, Narnia…. Also super stoked about a future series that is currently being crowdfunded called The Wingfeather Saga
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Put your hope and trust in Jesus Christ and spend your life in obedience to Him and spend your life as an offering for what He has done for you
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
At this point, I’d like to see the non-profit that I run become financially stable enough to allow my wife and I to focus on it alone.
Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
I’m a big fan of Shai Linne for theologically sound rap, Rivers and Robots or Beautiful Eulogy for easier listening
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
AQ Chicken
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I’d take Voddie Baucham to one of the local sit down mexican restaurants and talk to him until they kicked us out.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love that (for now) it still feels like a small community, but has enough of the things that big cities have to offer that it feels like we aren’t missing anything.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Wherever God wills me to be. I have a sinking suspicion that He is going to continue to ask me to take on more so I’d better learn how to remember that good is the enemy of best.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I’m an open book so most people that are close to me know almost everything about me. However, I’ll say that I wanted to be 6’5″ or taller and to play basketball professionally. I ended up being 6’1″ so that dream died an early death.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
With my wife wherever God plants us. We were married on the island of Maui….that was nice.
